What is A Landing Page?
The example to the left works by allowing a pop-up to open, preventing the visitor from entering the site until he or she has decided whether or not to: “Sign up for emails and receive a free guide on “Effective Video Marketing Strategies For Local Business“.
Once the visitor has entered his or her contact information, he or she is on your customer subscriber list, and you are legally allowed to start emailing special offers, coupons, newsletters and more.
Your landing page is where your targeted leads should end up congregating, eager to take the action you want them to take. It doesn’t matter whether this page invites them to sign up for some sort of incentive or gift, gets them to click on a QR code, or has them sign up for a newsletter. Its sole purpose is to incite them to do what you want them to do, bringing them ultimately to your door.
Notice how the example above does just that, being extremely “in your face” about the action it wants you to take. If you’re confident your product or site is irresistible, this can work surprisingly well – even though hundreds of “pop-up blockers” abound on the net and people can disallow pop-ups in their settings.
Then Why Use Pop-Ups As Website Landing Pages?
If done in the right way, they work. Powerfully!
Conversionvoodoo.com published another 2012 study and had this to say:
Here’s the key: If people really want the information they’re trying to access, they will often click through or think “why not?” Before you try a pop-up on your landing page, make sure that you really do have irresistible material waiting behind the pop-up for your visitor.
And, statistics or not, don’t just assume your pop-up will work. Test your landing page results, with and without the pop-up. Tweak the pop-up by adding and removing certain features, such as changing the color in the Text area field box, changing the wording, using a circled “X” as your close button instead of the word “close,” changing the background color and so on.
Where to Find Pop-Ups For Your Landing Page
If your site is WordPress-based, search your plugins section in your dashboard for “pop-up.” You’ll find a multitude of styles to choose from (but make sure your new plugin is compatible with the latest version of WordPress and has at least a five-and-a-half star rating).

You can easily create your own FCF (It is very easy to create your own FCF if you can point, click and type.
The FCF will allow you to control the following:
- A Headline
- Sub Headline
- A video (choose from our library or easily add your own)
- Fields you want to capture such as First Name, Email etc.
- Text under the video
- Text for a P.S. and/or P.P.S. line
You can even have an FCF without the capture fields because if you are selling something and either don’t need to capture the contacts information or you already have it, top marketers have shown that adding a video to a page where you sell something will Increase Your Conversions (i.e. you will SELL MORE)!
Simulated Floating Lead Capture Forms From Priceless Possibilities
A Floating Capture Form Simulator (FCFS) is useful for when you want to put a Floating Capture Form (FCF) on a website that you may or may not have control of (such as a site like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc…). You can put a FCFS on a site you do own if you don’t want to add the FCF code and just want to use the unique FCFS link we create to direct someone to your site instead.
The purpose for using a FCFS is to capture the contact information of people visiting these sites that you use (like your Facebook or Twitter page), but where you don’t have the rights or ability to put the FCF code on the websites.
In order to put a FCFS on top of a site where you don’t have the rights or ability to add code, we create a Unique Link to the page with the FCFS that shows up on top of it.
You are NOT putting any code on someone else’s site, but instead you are directing someone to a unique link that we create so they can see the FCF on top of any of your websites.
