It’s Not Just The “Big Guys” Anymore!

giantsNo longer is it just large businesses that are using video marketing as a way to increase their presence online.   Today it is something that many small businesses are finding an effective tool in helping to gain an edge over their competitors and help them to attract more traffic to them.

So why are people choosing to use video marketing rather than banner or pop up ads to advertise what they have to offer today?

Quite simply it is down to the fact that video marketing allows you to create a more personal connection with potential customers to your business.   If a person is faced with a video of someone talking to them or demonstrating something they are more likely to stick with it and find out what it is about.   However, when it comes to banner and pop up ads many simply find them annoying and will completely ignore them rather than learning more about what they have to offer.

Through videos a person is able to build up some kind of rapport with the person viewing it and as a result, they are more likely to gain that person’s trust.   The more comfortable a person feels about dealing with someone they haven’t actually met then the more chances there are of them actually wanting to know more and then making a purchase from that person.

Most small business owners know that they should be doing some form of Internet marketing but there are so many options to choose from. Dee Adams in 10 Tactical Online Marketing Techniques offers some very specific examples such as telling your prospects about your product by writing a product review, telling your prospects about a news-related story that will persuade them to purchase your product, and telling your prospects how close they are to benefitting from your product.

Let's face it folks.  The small business owner can't do everything by himself/herself and do it all justice.  Add to that the fact that the small business owner might not have all the necessary knowledge in all areas of running a business and outsourcing becomes even more helpful.

You’ll hear the term “keywords” used a lot on this site. If you don’t understand the meaning then you could spend a lot of time feeling like you’ve missed something important. Because your keywords are the basis of everything you’ll do online. This part is worth repeating: Your keywords are the basis of everything you’ll do online. Once you know what keywords bring you the most (and best) site visitors, you’ll create ads around those keywords, send out emails on topics related to those keywords, write blog posts and articles that discuss those keywords, and create videos, special reports, and books centered around those keywords. Quite simply, they are the words that describe your web site so customers can find you. To put it another way, key words are the words that your potential customers would use to describe what they need from you.
