This is an area of marketing that I’ve really struggled with. To date, I have not utilized email marketing and I think that the Golden Rule is what is driving it. I’ve been subject to far too much “harrassment” from many marketers that I assume I’ll be bothering others with my messages. Perhaps the key word is “assume”. I suspect if the email marketing was used judiciously it woudn’t be perceived as a bother. Thanks for putting this back on my radar Julie.

Recently my eyes have been opened further to just how effective email marketing is. The addition of multi-channel funnels means you can track the effect of email on other channels. I’ve frequently seen a ratio of between 5 and 8 assists per every one conversion. It’s the most positive ratio of any channel.

Its really great to maintain your sites without a spammer/ a trash that will make your marketing itchy! But how to do this? how I wish it will given a solution for all benefits…

  7. Hi Grace, you are absolutely correct on that one :)

  8. Of course, email marketing works if you just understand how to provide value without spamming your list and making them unsubscribe

  9. Hello Marcus. Email marketing is not considered spam if it is permissions based – meaning the person has opted in to your email list. In addition, emails must have the option to “unsubscribe” at any time in an effort to avoid spamming. If you follow these rules, only those who have given their permission and not opted out will be receiving your emails.

  10. Marcus says:

It email marketing does work really well, however in involves spamming the individual email addresses and that is why most affiliate sites do not allow email marketing unless you get their approval.

  40. Hi Karen, like anything we do on and off the web, we need to pay attention to the quality and value we are offering. I agree with you that many people are doing it badly and making money – but I also believe that in the end, their lack of value will be uncovered. This product is really powerful but it doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t pay attention to how you are using it. You need to be sure your message is targeted and valuable = even in this :)

  41. Doane*16 says:

I think in these case that big factors that can lift up the business industry is an email marketing for the reason that most of the people were keep in touch with social media, That’s why its consider an area in which most of the people especially our business men can be found.

  42. Karen says:

I think that the problem with email marketing is that you can do it badly and still make money, because people are making something from doing it they often feel satisfied with it and then look to other areas. This is not the best way to find tune what you are doing and really get the most out of email marketing!

  43. Hi Keyuri – how are you? :) You and I have discussed this before and I think you are right that you have to change your assumption! YOUR message is not harassment in any way because you offer so much value in general – but more specifically, your target wants to/needs to hear the value you have to share. Don’t forget that people have to optin to your list so that tells you that they “want” to hear from you. In addition, your emails must have an unsubscribe option at the bottom of each one, so if they continue to receive your messages, it means they want to. Hope this helps. Please call me if you want to discuss further :)
